*** In times of crisis, such as natural disasters or emergencies having a designated community shelter can make a significant difference in ensuring the safety and well-being of those affected. Our Y-C Shelter Coalition collaborates with the city of Yamhill, city of Carlton, Yamhill County agencies, community non-profits, local faith-based organizations and local volunteers to identify, establish and manage the Y/C High School Gym as a shelter where residents can seek refuge and receive assistance during times of emergencies or disasters. By helping to provide this essential service, the Y-C Shelter Coalition demonstrates its commitment to serving the whole community and supporting all community individuals in times of emergencies and natural disasters. ***
