Where is our local shelter located at?
Our community shelter is located in the city of Yamhill. Located on the Yamhill-Carlton High School property. Specifically the round dome building called the GYM.
Who is responsible for our shelter?
Even though the shelter is located on Y/C School property the actual entity that manages the shelter is the city of Yamhill.
Are there any groups or volunteers that help run the shelter?
As this shelter gains notice our coalition is working hard to bring together local non-profits, our two city's (Yamhill, Carlton) and other state and local agencies as well as local volunteers.
Can I apply to be a part of the team or work as a volunteer?
No, not as of today. The details that will manage and run our local shelter has not been fully worked out. There are many situations and people involved in helping build the coalition that will soon administrator and run our shelter. After that process has been finalized then we will start having our community members signup to volunteer.
