Hello again, on May 30th, 2024 Yamhill Neighborhood Association applied for 2 grants from a $10,000,000,00 fund provided by Oregon Department of Human Services Office of Resilience and Emergency Management Resilience Hubs and Networks grant. Grant #1 excess of $63,000.00 is for (1) 40 foot CONEX box filled with emergency/disaster preparedness equipment such as cots, blankets, water, food, lighting, small generator and many other necessary items to support our high school gym shelter. Grant #2 excess of $90,000.00 is for (2) 50KW pro-pain powered generators on trailers with a fuel tank capable of running each generator for over 3 weeks time. During an extended power outage generator #1 will be placed at the T & E Store to run the whole building and keep the frozen food and refrigerated food from spoiling so the community can still get food that is available. Generator #2 will be placed at the high school cafeteria. The cafeteria powered will be a warming/cooling temporary shelter before the main high school gym shelter is in place. This location will also provide food or (hot food) for those who need a meal. In addition a pole-barn installed at the Yamhill public works location to house each of the 2 generators when not in use. Y.N.A. will post here, if and when they receive one or both grants.
